This is a two year project to join up ancestral tourism facilities and businesses in the Scottish Borders (£93,500)
Borders Event Forum – Event Executives
This project is looking to employ two part time (1 FTE) Regional Event Executives to support the activities of the Events Forum, a non profit events promotion group constituted in March 2008. The Events Forum is run by a Committee consisting of local volunteers who have events-related businesses in the Scottish Borders (£55,388)
Innovation Area ‘Diverse and Sustainable Rural Businesses’
Scottish Borders Walking Festival Event Development
Project to refresh the Walking Festival and develop a programme of events which will appeal to a wider market and increase visitor numbers (£66,600)
Creative Arts Business Network
The Creative Arts Business Network is a one year pilot study which aims to provide a network for creative businesses in the Scottish Borders, with a dedicated development officer based in the Heart of Hawick. The Network will take the form of a social enterprise in the future (£34,136).
Wetland Collaborative Action Coordinator
The aim of this project is to employ a facilitator within the Tweed Forum to help landowners and farmers develop joint wetland projects with a view to accessing Rural Development Contracts and other funding opportunities (£52,623)
Innovation Area: Distinctive Local Products
Eyemouth Harbour Pontoon and Shore Diver Access Development
The aim of this project is to create facilities to increase use of Eyemouth Harbour, to better manage shore access, to distribute diver activity and to allow Eyemouth Harbour Trust and Berwickshire Dive Tourism Association to generate income streams and generate sustainability (£54,859).
